Mr. Brant C. came to Ayers following a left total knee arthroplasty. Prior to his surgery, Mr. C. was independent in all activities of daily living. He was retired and lived with his wife. He participated in both physical and occupational therapy at Ayers. Mr.C. met all his goals regarding self-care and made excellent progress toward his mobility goals.
Mr. C. was able to successfully return to his home after a 23-day stay. At the time of discharge, Mr. C. was ambulating over 500 feet with a rolling Walker. Mr. C. elected to return to Ayers for outpatient therapy to continue to work on mobility goals. He is currently driving independently and walking without an assistive device. Mr. C. states that he is grateful for the care and therapy that he received while at Ayers.
