Ms. Kathleen K. received Physical and Occupational therapy following hospitalization due to a fall resulting in a Femur fracture. After surgery to repair the fracture, she came to Ayers for rehabilitation. Prior to hospitalization, Ms. K. lived with her son, but was independent in self-care tasks and walked with a rollator.
When she arrived at Ayers, Ms. K was unable to ambulate and had significant pain limiting her ability to care for herself. Upon discharge, Ms. K. was able to walk over 200 feet with a rolling walker and complete bathing and dressing tasks on her own. She was successfully discharged to her son’s home with home health therapy.
