Dr. Jaime Castellanos earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree through the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina where he also completed an internal residency program. In 2003, Dr. Castellanos moved to the U.S. and completed an additional internal medicine residency at Case Western Reserve University Metro Health Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Castellanos began his healthcare career in an acute care hospital setting. He later sought to expand his career into long-term care. Dr. Castellanos began working at Ayers in 2011 as our medical director. His appreciation for long-term care stems from the positive impact he and the Ayers team have on their residents. Dr. Castellanos’ focus is person-centered; as he says, “every patient has a special life experience that they enjoy sharing, no matter how affected they may be by chronic conditions.” Dr. Castellanos has remained part of the Ayers community because he enjoys the positive, home-like environment and family culture.
