Lysha began working at Ayers Health and Rehabilitation Center in 2018 as a licensed practical nurse (LPN). As Lysha established her career in healthcare, she knew she wanted to grow in her role. In 2020, she pursued further education at Florida Gateway College where she graduated as a registered nurse (RN) and accepted a position as the unit manager. Lysha embraced her role as a unit manager as it allowed her to transition her personal experience as a bedside nurse into a new capacity. Most recently, in 2022, Lysha challenged herself to learn an unfamiliar side of nursing related to insurance and reimbursement as the MDS coordinator (a role that provides comprehensive assessments of a resident’s functional capabilities), and as the assistant director of nursing (ADON). Lysha remains committed to Ayers because of the special relationships she shares with the residents and staff.
