Monica Ondrick - Administrator in Training

Monica was first introduced to Ayers Health and Rehabilitation Center in 2011 while participating in a certified nursing assistant (CNA) program at the center. She later graduated from the University of Florida in 2015 with her bachelor’s degree in Health Education and Behavior and returned to Ayers as the Life Enrichment Coordinator. Monica sought continued education to improve residents’ quality of life through her certifications in music and memory and dementia capable care. This desire to expand her knowledge eventually led her to pursue social work in 2020 as a social services designee. Monica attributes her growth to the support of her mentors, many of which she met through Ayers. Most recently, in July 2021, she enrolled in a year-long training program to pursue her nursing home administrator license. Monica hopes her career as an administrator will serve as a platform to mentor and support professionals in the long-term care community.
